Martin is a SAP Certified Application Professional with a proven track record as a lead architect. His experience encompasses a range of complex projects, including a full S/4HANA conversion, global Central Finance implementation, HANA migration, and SolMan configuration. He has also conducted numerous S/4HANA pre-studies, or "journey planning," across a variety of industries. For several years, he has served as a lead architect on a highly customized SAP system built around the FI and SD modules.

Martin holds the SAP Certified Application Professional - Financials in SAP S/4HANA for ERP Finance Experts certification, complemented by associate SAP certifications in Finance, Management Accounting, Central Finance, and the SAP Activate project methodology. He is a strong advocate for a strategic approach that prioritizes SAP Standard with Organizational Change Management (OCM) to minimize the need for custom development. Recognizing that some custom code is often necessary, he favors an approach of encapsulating custom solutions to ensure systems remain agile and ready for the modern paradigm of frequent quarterly upgrades.

 

Beyond high-level architecture, Martin possesses extensive hands-on technical expertise. He regularly engages in daily ITSM, debugging exercises, and provides coding guidance, even to the point of writing dry code. He expertly combines this specific technical knowledge with a clear vision for the overall project goal, client needs, and seamless integration with surrounding system landscapes. Martin brings a unique and comprehensive skill set to every engagement, serving as a trusted advisor who can effectively bridge the gap between business strategy and technical execution.
